Hershel was known for his kind an caring attitude. He loved people and was always willing to give a helping hand. His long term
vision was to get more involved in  International Trade so that he could
assist his community more. He had a great love for his alma Mater
Clafin College.

The  Hershel Demar Denson Scholarship fund has been established to
encourage and support young men and women who wish to pursue a college education  in international trade and come back to the community and mentor other youth in the Gullah/Geechee community  to do the same.
